Diese Kategorie soll Arbeitsgruppen mit kuratorischer und vermittelnder Projekterfahrung die Vorbereitung eines Projektvorhabens ermöglichen, indem Eigenmittel für die Beantragung weiterer projektspezifischer Drittmittel zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Es ist ein neues Format, das insbesondere den historisch-politischen Kontext, die städteräumliche Situation und die Nachbarschaften in der Karl-Liebknecht-Straße und um die station urbaner kulturen stärker in den Fokus nehmen soll.

Realisierungszeitraum ab 2027
Die Beantragung von Fördermitteln erfolgt mit Unterstützung und in Kooperation mit der Geschäftsstelle. Für das Projekt stehen ab 2027 bis zu 4.000 € als nGbK-Eigenmittel zur Verfügung.
2027 bzw. spätestens 2029 muss nach erfolgreicher Drittmitteleinwerbung eine Aktivität im Außenraum rund um den nGbK-Standort an der Karl-Liebknecht-Straße oder am zusätzlichen Standort der nGbK in Hellersdorf stattfinden. Der spezifische urbane Raum der historischen Mitte zwischen der Marienkirche und der Nikolaikirche kann dabei Ausgangspunkt für kuratorische Projekte mit künstlerischen Arbeiten sein. Mit dem Museum Nikolaikirche der Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin besteht hierfür eine Kooperation. Bei Interesse können zum Museum Nikolaikirche über die Geschäftsstelle weitere Informationen eingeholt werden. In Hellersdorf sind der Alice-Salomon-Platz und der Boulevard Kastanienallee interessant als Ausgangspunkt.
Für die Einreichung des Projektantrags ist ausgewiesene kuratorische und vermittelnde Erfahrung nötig. Dies ist durch die Angabe von max. drei Referenzprojekten von mind. einer antragsstellenden Person nachzuweisen.
Alle Projektrealisierungen sind vorbehaltlich der Finanzierung durch die Förderung und haushaltsrechtlichen Vorausetzungen des Landes Berlin.

This category is intended to enable work groups with experience in curating and mediation to prepare a project by providing nGbK funds to support applications for further third-party funding. This new format aims to focus increased attention on the historical-political context, the urban situation, and the local neighborhood on and around Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse and station urbaner kulturen.

Implementation period from 2027
Funding applications are submitted with the support and cooperation of the nGbK office. Up to €4,000 of the nGbK's own funds will be available for the project starting in 2027.
After successful third-party funding application, an activity must take place in the outdoor space around the nGbK location on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße or at the nGbK's additional location in Hellersdorf in 2027 or 2029 at the latest. The specific urban space of the historic center between St. Mary's Church and St. Nicholas' Church can serve as a starting point for curatorial projects with artistic works. A cooperation exists for this purpose with the Museum St. Nicholas' Church of the Berlin City Museum Foundation. Those interested can obtain further information about the Museum St. Nicholas' Church from the office. In Hellersdorf, Alice-Salomon-Platz and Kastanienallee Boulevard are interesting starting points.
Those applying for this funding must have proven experience in curating and outreach, documented in form of up to three reference projects by at least one working group member.
Project realizations is subject to the continued funding of the nGbK by the City of Berlin, and to compliance with all funding regulations.
